Roller vs paint pad for painting which is better?

Depends on the area to be covered, rollers are best for whole rooms as they cover faster but pads are good for smaller areas and borders/corners.Roller vs paint pad for painting which is better?
rollers are good - plus you can get a shield so it don't splat all over your hands %26amp; face %26amp; hair!!Roller vs paint pad for painting which is better?
definately a roller
I prefer pads to rollers, its so much cleaner, as rollers seem to spit paint over things
Roller is much quicker but splatters, paint pad good for painting over blown vinyl wallpaper etc.
depends who i get in to do it no as said rollers for large surfaces and pads for edges and borders
Paint pads are far better and give a much better finish
If you have ended up with roller-splatter before then paint pads might be the way to go and they cover a large area quicker than you might imagine. However overload them you'll still end up in a right old mess!
If it's wood or metal, I use a brush - I don't like the nubby look a roller gives it. For walls, I always use a roller.
I've always found paint pads to be messy. What I do is to cut in along the woodwork with a brush in one hand and a wet rag in the other for catching the little slips. That way you don't have to tape off with blue tape, saving LOTS of time. Then fill in with roller painting. When you're all done check the woodwork carefully so you can clean up any speckles before they cure.

What's even more important is to use good quality paint. Check Consumer Reports at the library as quality varies from color to color even within high quality brands.

Good luck! No matter how you do it it's a lot of work but well worth the effort once you can sit and enjoy it.
Paint pad cause they dont spray paint over everything.
it depens on your experience and the type of job you want to do... rollers are more practical and quick to cover big surfaces... pads are for smaller and precise painting
use a roller with a foam brush for corners, the texture will look nice.
It depends on the type of walls you have. Use the roller designed for the type of wall you have. Also, I use a brush for corners, around edges, and trim.
It depends, what are you painting and what kind of effect do you want it to have?
A roller puts on a better coat
roller gets the job done much quicker
a brush or a roller are both ideal for painting and work better when a wife or girlfriend uses them ,that way you can go to the pub and avoid harmful paint fumes.
roller faster
paint pad are better than a pait roller and ther are tests that prove this
Paint pad every time its quicker easier less messy and you don't have to spend ages going the edges as long as it is not cheap and nasty.
paint pad it wont cover you in paint and is just as quick
Paint pad, definitely! Have just redecorated my entire house and the paint pad gives such a nicer finish, the roller leaves a funny finish, the paint pad's finish is much more even. Plus, a roller splashes all over the floor!
Roller!
id always go for the brush.
you cant beat a good roller and brush for painting. what you have to do is get them, then practise for the next 20 odd years.....pads are ok when their being shown in a diy store.
