Whats best to use to paint a ceiling , roller or brush , ?

Depends on what colour you're trying to cover up! A roller would be fine for white on white or something like that, but if you're trying to cover a darker colour, I think you get better coverage with a brush and decent paint (not the cheap stuff from B%26amp;Q or something like that!). It'd take much longer though. Also depends on whether the surface of your ceiling is flat or artex.Whats best to use to paint a ceiling , roller or brush , ?

someone else with a roller
NEITHER ...I USE A PAINT PAD AVAILABLE AT BQ THERE MUCH BETTER THAN ROLLERS BECAUSE THEY DONT SPRAY PAINT EVERYWHERE .AND QUICKER THAN A BRUSH ...YOU CAN BUY A EXTENSIBLE POLE FOR THE PAD AS WELL ...GOOD LUCK HOPE THIS HELPS /
i ve seen a square pad instead of rooler and there very good no splashes and goes into corners [ in england[
roller
roller my quicker easier and less messy
Roller is easiest... but you will have to to the edges with a brush.
First make sure everything below is covered including the carpeting. If you are inexperianced with a brush, it is best to run a strip of tape around the upper edge of your walls(if they are a different color than your ceiling). Then using a brush, paint the outer edge of the ceiling, about a 2'; strip, all the way around. Then use a roller on a stick to finish the rest. You can get a tray or cover that fits under your roller which helps cut down on splatter.
roller, but go slowly or you get splashes everywhere...
roller is best.

roller is best for everything... except little stuff, then you should use a brush.
a roller, will be there all day with a brush.
Roller and non-drip vinyl emulsion
A 9in or 12in roller is best with a Pole in the end so you don't have to keep going up %26amp; down the steps also make sure you get a tray the right size to take the roller
roller is best.
Saw a lot of painters in my childhood home and they all used a roller.
roller is best with the brush you will be the all day
Roller, Duh
with a roller ul cover a lot more surface quicker but you get a lot more japping of the paint (the wet paint landing on u in little teeny bits) the brush is slower but theres less mess.
a roller would be quicker, but remember to protect your hair unless you want it to have a mottled effect!
Roller definetly, Either way though the ceilingis the worst to paint.
roller
I would love to help. Here's how. Put a roller pan liner in a roller pan, fill with paint, get a 2 1/2 inch sash brush ( you know the angled brush), 3/8 roller preferably 9in. Start by painting the edges with the brush as far as you can reach making sure not to over reach. When your done with the brush just place it in the pan out of the way so that you can use the roller. Then roll immediately after you brush then move ladder and continue. If you allow the paint from the brush to dry it will leave brush marks. This will cut your time in half. Maybe some professional painters will take this advice also.

Good Luck

I would use a paint sprayer/compressor type.. Its much faster and covers much easier.. By the time the paint falls to the floor its dry to you can vacuum it right up. Orcourse you still need to cover things up. Hope this helps!
Roller
I am a painting contractor and yes a roller is best and if you want to save yourself some time get an 18 inch roller and you will get a better job done in half the time.
use a brush as you may get a lot of paint on you with a roller like i did when painting
