What is the differance between using a paint sprayer or using a paint brush and a roller for painting a bedroom?Paint sprayer or roller and brush?
One room, go with the roller and brush.
In the business for 20 years.Paint sprayer or roller and brush?
Clean up time!!! It's a pain to clean a paint sprayer!
One thing with a roller or brush I get paint everywhere. I mean all over the house. With a sprayer I can do a lot neater job and not get painter everywhere. But that is a lot up to the individual. With some people they try to use a sprayer it is a disaster in the making. They get paint everywhere.
When I paint I use a spray then use a brush if I want the textured look. I simply jab the brush in a jabbing motion instead using strokes on the fresh paint to get the textured look. But you have to do it before it starts drying.
I'm starting to paint a bedroom today. I'll start with an airless paint sprayer for the ceiling, which has an acoustic finish (sometimes called ';popcorn';). Then I'll paint the baseboard and door casing with an alkyd semi-gloss enamel. After that dries I'll use a paint brush for cut-in on the walls with an acrylic paint. I'll finish the job with a roller on the walls.
If my walls were the same color as the ceiling, I would have sprayed everything. However, it's too much trouble to mask off the ceiling, the baseboard, and the door casing, so I'll use brush and roller.
YES ROL ON IS BETTER AND LESS CLEAN UP
THINK ABOUT THE OVERSPRAY THEN THE CLEANUP
PREPERATION IS YOUR KEY
TAPE -COVER- VISQUEEN CLEAN PAINT
OUTSIDE SPRAY AND SOME WINDOW COVERING
HAVE FUN
If you use a sprayer you are going to have paint every where, so you better stick with the roller and the brush. I would not attempt to use a sprayer my self.
