Why is my paint drying lighter when using roller than where i brushed it on?

You are applying the paint thicker with the brush. You need to blend it more and try to roll as close as possible. Try a small foam roller to get the edges. Why is my paint drying lighter when using roller than where i brushed it on?
If it’s not completely dry, the two applications might be drying at different rates and the differences will be less noticeable when it’s all completely dry.

If it is completely dry, it's probably because the two application methods apply coats of different thicknesses. I can't see that being a big issue unless it's a deep or dark color though. Why is my paint drying lighter when using roller than where i brushed it on?
If the wall you are painting on is white, this happens a lot. You normally have more paint on the brush than you do on the roller. The brush will leave more paint on the wall making it look darker. My advice, make sure you have plenty of paint on the roller and do 2 or 3 coats of paint.
