could it be because not enough paint was left on the roller as i took it off?
i am using acrylic latex sheen by the way
I can see the paint roller marks, especially where i took it off, why?
That's one major issue. You always want to keep a wet edge, and be sure to put enough paint on the wall. One way to avoid this is called backrolling. After you get to the corner, reroll the entire wall. This will even the coverage and reduce lap marks. Hope this helps.I can see the paint roller marks, especially where i took it off, why?
backrolling means that the stipple of the paint is all facing in the same direction.
Paint the walls with an extension pole and after applying about 5 linear feet go back to where you started (beginning of 5 linear feet)
and backroll it. Take the roller mostly dry and start at the top near the ceiling, roll all the way to the bottom near the floor, then remove the roller and go back to the top and repeat -- this way all the stipples will be facing the same direction. This is the best for high gloss finishes.
If you use the ';W'; technique or pull the roller off mid stroke you will always see it. True back rolling is the solve all.
