How do I get a paint roller off?

After painting recently, I didn't think to take the roller pad off the roller.


Now it won't come off even when I use a knife. What's the best way to get it off?How do I get a paint roller off?
You could try soaking it in hot water. The applicator is made out of cardboard and that will make it soft so you can rip it off the roller.How do I get a paint roller off?
You might have to get another one. There will be dried paint acting like glue all along the inside of the roller and you may not ever be able to get it off.
